The President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, met with the Deans of the Schools of Engineering, Computer Science, and  Business from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, to discuss various channels of cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship, Dr. Abdel Raheem Abu Al-Basal. Among the important points under discussion was the setting up of Master's level joint programs under which students would study one year at PSUT and one year at Michigan-Dearborn. Students undertaking this program would receive a discount of approximately 42% on the set fees for study in the USA.
In addition, full scholarships will be given to all PSUT students accepted to study PhD programs in Engineering at Michigan- Dearborn.
Furthermore, graduates holding a BSc. from PSUT can register in Master's programs at Michigan-Dearborn and receive a 42% discount on the set fees.
Students taking th
PhD program in Computer Science at PSUT will have the option to spend a year at Michigan-Dearborn to gain experience of academic life there, in which case faculty members from both universities would provide supervision on the student's PhD thesis.
Two former agreements paved the way for students to obtain degrees from both universities (Dual degrees), as well as making it possible to obtain a  BSc. from PSUT and a Master's from Michigan-Dearborn.
The aim of this collaboration is the exchange of students between the two universities in a number of majors, as well as sharing teaching and research experience. These agreements embody the wishes of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the Board of Trustees to develop the educational process and to nurture the spirit of leadership on an international level.
