PSUT has established an Industry Advisory Board, with members selected from active private sector entrepreneurs and members of PSUT alumni. The Industry Advisory Board’s main function is to systematize and strengthen effective interaction with industry and ICT, engineering and business.
PSUT has signed cooperation agreements with three Jordanian universities - namely, the Hussein bin Talal University, Philadelphia University and Zarqa Private University.
Corporate partners include Microsoft, Oracle and Sun Microsystems, Lead Technologies, CISCO, Sybase, Specialized Technical Services (STS), Rubicon and Eskadinia Software. Sun has designated PSUT as a certified regional Sun Training Centre and has trained one of our faculty members as a Sun certified instructor.
PSUT has training and internship agreements with Jordan Telecom, the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), the American Near Eastern Refugee Agency (ANERA) and leading cell phone provider, Orange Inc.
Last, but not least, PSUT has implemented the MEDFORIST (Euro-Mediterranean Network for Sharing IST Learning Resources) project, in cooperation with 15 European and Mediterranean universities. In 2006, this project won the prestigious El Hassan Prize for Scientific Excellence. PSUT is also currently implementing a number of TEMPUS projects, European Union-supported ventures that aim at modernizing higher education.
Through our International Relations Office (IRO) of the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Deanship, PSUT''s strategy is to strengthen its international relations and place them at the top of our priorities. The main function of IRO is to expand and strengthen ties with leading universities worldwide, establish exchange programs and joint master degrees in specific strategic fields and develop research partnerships with international higher education institutions. This strategy recognizes that internationalisation stretches across all of the different university departments with the objective of developing a global culture and an institutional capacity through the transfer of knowledge and good practice. The strategy also aims to provide appropriate understanding, means and methods to improve actions and to create a recognised network for internationalisation.
As of today, PSUT has established structural links with leading universities in science and engineering around the world including: the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, the University of Central Florida and the University of Bridgeport in the US: the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan (ROC); The Grenoble School for Management and the International Space University in France; the Universities of Magdeburg and Darmstadt in Germany; the ICU in South Korea; Coventry, Lancaster and Durham Universities in England; Hasselt University in Belgium; Carinthia University in Austria; and the University of Alicante in Spain.
