President of PSUT honors winners and participants in the first freehand art competition for Jordanian universities
The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, headed the awards ceremony honoring the winners and participants in the recent freehand art competition. The competition, the first of its kind held for students at Jordanian universities, was organized by PSUT’s Deanship of Student Affairs and saw participation from students of various disciplines from the University of Jordan, Yarmouk, Philadelphia, the Applied Science University, Mu'tah, Isra, PSUT, the German-Jordanian University and JUST. After the awards ceremony, the President of the University opened the exhibition which included oil and water paintings, charcoal and pencil drawings, character portraits, landscapes and narrative art.
Dina Al Natour of PSUT took first place, while second place was shared by Muayyad Haddad of Yarmouk University and Haya Haddad of JUST. Joint third place went to Anas Yusuf of JUST and Mohammed Al-Omari of Yarmouk.
Following the ceremony, Prof. Al-Refai and Dr. Rami Salem, Dean of Student Affairs, took a tour of the exhibition, stopping to admire the outstanding pieces of work presented by Aseel Al Bustami, among other pictures displayed in the exhibition.
At the close of the ceremony, the President of the University and the Dean of Student Affairs honored the panel of judges and the student clubs for their distinguished achievements during the academic year 2016/2017.
