PSUT honors winners of local and international competitions and their supervisors

The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Professor Mashhoor Al-Refai, honored the winners of local and international competitions in order to give encouragement to the University’s outstanding students and create a bond of communication between them and their University, which is an integral part of PSUT’s Higher Committee policy. Awards were given to those students who took top positions at the ACM programming competition held in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, the Hackatari Codeathon 2017 competition, the Debating Team who performed well at the Rasheed Coalition for Integrity and Transparency competition and Qatar’s Fourth Arabic Language University Debating Tournament 2017,  in addition to those who obtained the American degree of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and winners at the 10th National Technology Festival held recently at the German Jordanian University.

Prof. Al-Refai congratulated the winners and all those who contributed to their achievements, stressing the University's keenness to realize the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the Board of Trustees, in seeking to put Jordan in the ranks of the developed countries, academically and technologically, and projecting a positive image of the field of Computer Science both inside and outside the academic community, as well as raising the University's reputation for accomplishments. The President pointed out that the aim of distributing these honors is purely to give encouragement to the University's outstanding students and enhance the bond of mutual loyalty between them and their University.

Prof. Al-Refai also expressed his pride in the excellent results attained by the University and its students at the local and international levels, which have carried the University firmly into the ranks of prestigious universities. Al-Refai also promised the students, and their supervisors and coaches, further financial and moral support to ensure these outstanding performances continue. He announced the opening of an Office for the care of gifted students, within the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, in order to promote and support talented students by providing a fertile environment for the development of their skills and abilities.

Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Al-Saidi, Chairman of the Committee for the Recognition of Creative Students, Innovators and Winners in Local and International Competitions, expressed his pride in this constellation, which raised the name of the University on the international scene and set it apart from its peers with its outputs, and its strong participation in all local and international forums.
