PSUT leads Jordanian universities in the general level and all categories of the 2017 Proficiency Exam and 82% of its programs are ranked first in the exact level
Princess Sumaya University for Technology came first among the public and private universities at the general level and for all categories in the National Proficiency Exam held by the Higher Education Accreditation Commission for the academic year 2017. The University also took first place at the exact level in the following disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Power and Energy Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, e-Marketing and Social Media, Management Information Systems and Computer Graphics and Animation, meaning that the University ranked first in 82% of its specializations.
The University’s President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the PSUT family, including faculty members, administrative staff and students, on this remarkable success and the determination shown in maintaining the top position in the Proficiency Exam results which put the University at the forefront of Jordanian universities to continue its previous distinguished record of excellence. He also expressed his thanks to the deans of the Schools concerned, Dr. George Sammour Director of the Center for Quality Assurance, the heads of the academic departments, the loyal students of the University and all those who contributed to this new achievement.
PSUT has been able to achieve top positions in this exam since 2004, attaining first place in both 2005 and 2006 in the Jordanian Proficiency Exam for the Computer Science program. In the most recent session of this national exam, the University was crowned as the leader among all Jordanian universities by taking first place at the general level and for all categories. This is in line with the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the Board of Trustees, which strive to raise the status of the University to put it among the ranks of international universities by focusing on quality to achieve its lofty mission of graduating outstanding students and providing the local and global labor markets with a generation of socially-aware, innovative young people who believe in their country and its people.
