PSUT wins Silver and Bronze at the Jordanian Universities Taekwondo Championship
Among the numerous tournaments organized by the Jordanian University Athletic Union, a Taekwondo tournament was held at the sports hall at the Hashemite University. Competing against students from 16 public and private universities, four students from Princess Sumaya University for Technology managed to win silver and bronze medals.
Four out of the five students representing the University team took their places on the winners’ podium. The victorious students are as follows:
Mohammad Rumman: Silver medal, 63 kg category (Men)
Majd Al Khuraisha: Silver medal, 73 kg category (Ladies)
Ayman Al Majali: Bronze medal, 58 kg category (Men)
Jenna Ibrahim: Bronze medal, 49 kg category (Ladies)
PSUT’s President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the winning students on this accomplishment, and pointed to the ever-growing list of the University’s outstanding achievements in extracurricular activities at the local and international levels. This confirms the University's interest in both academic and extracurricular activities, as well as its determination to achieve excellence in all fields, which reflects the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the Board of Trustees, to raise the University to the highest rank in both the national and international arenas. Prof. Al-Refai promised the students, their supervisors and their trainers continued financial and moral support to maintain their record of excellence.
