Seeking Avenues of Cooperation between PSUT and Aix-Marseille University, France
A delegation from PSUT visited Aix-Marseille University, France, to attend a preliminary meeting for the Erasmus Plus Project, under the title of ‘Design and Administration of European Projects’.
The delegation was headed by Professor Abdullah Al-Zoubi, Vice President for International Relations , and included Dr. Edward Jaser and Dr. Radhi Hamadeen. They made a presentation about PSUT, during which they noted its wide-ranging research activities and its many initiatives aimed at building and honing students’ capabilities, as well as its academic exchange programs for both students and faculty members. The delegation also highlighted the University’s role in the Erasmus project, pointing out how it performs its duties and achieves the desired results, thus giving a positive indication of its ability to provide capable, professional administration of scientific projects, a fact which makes it reference source for higher education institutions in Jordan and in the region as a whole.
Professor Al-Zoubi met with Professor Sylvie De Fete, Vice President of Aix-Marseille University, to discuss channels of cooperation between the two universities. Subjects under discussion included exchange programs for students and faculty members, joint supervision of PhD theses, participation in research and academic projects, and the setting up of summer schools.
Aix-Marseille University is considered one of the top, well-established universities in France and it enjoys strong international connections, especially with countries in the Mediterranean Basin.
