In a ceremony organized by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, honored PSUT graduate, inventor Eng. Ahmad Saleh. The University honored Eng. Saleh, who has 17 US patents registered in his name, in recognition of his academic career and his outstanding contribution, according to the University’s policy of celebrating its creative graduates.

In the presence of the two vice presidents, deans, and heads of departments of the King Abdullah II School of Engineering, in addition to representatives of the administrative directors and the Student Council, Prof. Al-Refai praised the honored graduate, congratulating him on his achievements and his unrelenting efforts. He highlighted the fact that the honors are in line with the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, regarding the importance of maintaining contact with distinguished PSUT alumni since they serve as its ambassadors around the world.

Al-Refai added that celebrating the great achievements of PSUT's graduates is a source of inspiration for its students. Such high-achieving graduates serve as role models for current students and contribute to building bridges of communication that help pave the way for success in their careers.

The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Al-Saidi, said that PSUT sees the success stories of its graduates as a motivator for its students to strive for progress. The role of the University does not end when the student obtains his degree, but rather continues as he builds his career through continuing communication. This enhances the role of the University in the labor market, and develops a sense of responsibility. It also contributes to serving the Kingdom’s economic development plans.

In turn, Eng. Saleh thanked PSUT for this honor, acknowledging that he owed it a lot of credit for his career. He mentioned the importance of the courses he took in contributing to this achievement, especially the basic courses and those in electrical circuits. He expressed his appreciation for the University’s role in opening horizons for him during his time as a student, affirming that it spared no effort to support the position of its students and graduates in their academic careers.

Eng. Saleh obtained his undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering from PSUT in 2008. He is currently working for one of the largest international companies in the field of automobile manufacturing and development in the USA.

Eng. Saleh also holds a Master's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Oakland University. He is a key member of the IEEE and is an expert in automotive radio frequency modules and applications.

Saleh also received 9 Excellence Awards while working for Sprint, a major communications company in the US.

It is noteworthy that 90% of PSUT graduates find employment within the first six months of their graduation, and that 98% of them work in the private sector both at home and abroad, and in distinguished places around the world.
