Gold for PSUT in the Jordanian Universities Basketball Championship

Princess Sumaya University for Technology won the gold medal in the Jordanian Universities Basketball Championship after its team defeated the Yarmouk University team in the final by 86 to 53. The tournament was organized by PSUT as part of its centenary celebrations, in cooperation with the International Players Association and with the coordination of the Kawar Foundation for the establishment of sports events and tournaments,

The tournament was held at the University of Applied Sciences’ stadium, and saw the participation of the University of Jordan, which won the bronze medal, the University of Applied Sciences, JUST, Islamic Sciences, University of Petra, and the German-Jordanian University.

While presenting the medals to the winning teams, the President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, praised the participating teams and players, and their enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Attending the ceremony were the President of the Applied Sciences Private University, Prof. Iman Basheti, and Vice President of the International Players Association, Fadi Zureikat. Prof. Al-Refai underscored the fact that the University is keen, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, to hold sports tournaments due to the important role they play in honing students' talents and supporting their activities.
