The Acting President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Alhaija, inaugurated the activities of the third annual Health Day, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the title of ‘Your Health Matters’, with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among its students. Also attending the opening of the event were the Vice President of Administrative Affairs and the Deans of the Schools.
The event, which involves the participation of 18 medical, health, nutrition, and sports entities, includes various medical tests and examinations, advice from nutrition and beauty experts, fitness centers, meetings with doctors from Amman Surgical Hospital, first aid training, and natural cooking lessons with the ‘Natural Chef’.
Prof. Abu Alhaija pointed out the importance of the event in supporting the University’s aspirations to introduce its students to a well-rounded lifestyle and urge them to adopt the proper actions to take care of their health, which also results in a strong community. She went on to emphasize the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs in building close relationships with local community institutions.
The Dean of Student Affairs noted the diversity of the participants and their role in promoting partnership through the exchange of expertise, knowledge and competencies between the university sector and the medical sector. He also praised the level of the students’ involvement and their desire to acquire knowledge and skills that serve their efforts to live a better life.
