President of PSUT in a meeting with faculty members
Al-Refai: Scientific research is the surest path to real success
In a meeting held via video communication technology with PSUT’s faculty members, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, stressed the importance of making scientific research a priority, describing it as the surest path to real success and fruitful service.
During the meeting, which was attended by the University's vice presidents and the School deans, Al-Refai said that the safety of the students on their return to the University should be a top priority. He urged the faculty members to treat them like their own children and take into account the conditions they have gone through during the Coronavirus pandemic, adding, "Studying at university is not just about lectures and laboratories, rather it is an integrated and well-rounded life.”
Al-Refai emphasized that PSUT has achieved a unique status locally and globally, under the generous patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, which requires everyone to combine their energies to compete to maintain and build on that status.
Al-Refai called for the optimal investment of all the expertise gained during the distance education period to enhance and improve the teaching process and interaction with students.
He concluded by saying, "You know that there is no finish line in the race for achievements and success. That is why we aspire to always be, not in competition with the successful people in this world, but in an accelerating race with ourselves, so that we can be a worthy beacon of light for our students to emulate."
