PSUT graduate Alaa Adel named among the top 50 regional CEOs for the largest multinational corporations, 2021

Princess Sumaya University for Technology graduate Alaa Adel was included in the 2021 list of the top 50 regional CEOs for the largest multinational corporations. Alaa holds the position of Vice President and Managing Director of Cerner, the global leader in health information and electronic health record technologies in the Middle East and Africa region. The list is prepared by Forbes Middle East magazine.

Adel joined Cerner in 2009, three years after graduating from PSUT, and today leads a team of more than 350 people. The company’s headquarters is in the USA, and its regional base is in the United Arab Emirates.

The President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated Alaa Adel for this achievement, praising his creativity, energy and excellence. He stated that the University, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El-Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, is keen to maintain close contact with its graduates, whom it views as its true ambassadors around the world.

 In turn, the Dean of Admissions and Registration at PSUT, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Al-Saidi, stated that the Alumni Affairs Office in the Deanship spares no effort in tracking the progress of the University’s graduates in 49 countries, and following up on their success stories. Some of them are hosted by the University to be a source of inspiration for their colleagues who are still completing their studies.

Forbes Middle East is the Arabic version of the famous American magazine Forbes, and specializes in publishing articles prepared by its team in the Middle East. According to the announced list, the classification of CEOs was made according to several criteria, most notably the impact and scope of influence, the company's public image, sustainability initiatives, and social responsibility.
