PSUT signs a MOU with the Kawar Foundation to coordinate and organize sports tournaments

Princess Sumaya University for Technology has concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Kawar Foundation to coordinate and hold athletic tournaments to boost its sports activities and participate with the local community through sports projects, initiatives and tournaments. The memorandum was signed by the President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, and the Director of the Foundation, Ramez Kawar.

Al-Refai said that PSUT is keen to cooperate with and support community institutions, and to benefit from their expertise, and that the University, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, seeks to do everything possible to facilitate the students’ practice of their athletic hobbies, and participate in local and international tournaments.

Al-Refai added that the University, although its general orientation is technological and has no college of physical education, it lends great importance to sports, cultural, social and arts activities, because of their benefit in honing students' talents and investing their energies.

Mr. Kawar praised PSUT's status and the ability of its students to harmonize their academic and athletic excellence, indicating that the Foundation will work to build bridges of cooperation between the University and the local community through effective qualitative activities.

PSUT’s Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Salem, said that this memorandum seeks to make athletic events a means to realizing the University's mission and vision, indicating that tournaments will be held at the University in all types of sports, including online sports games.
