PSUT students achieve outstanding results in the University Proficiency Exam

Princess Sumaya University for Technology achieved outstanding results in the University Proficiency Exam for the Second and Summer semesters of the academic year 2020/2021.  PSUT students on the verge of graduation mastered 11 of the 14 major competencies for the general level, and obtained a "proficient" standard for competencies in all disciplines of the sub-level.

PSUT’s President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the students on their excellence and thanked the faculty members of the University’s Schools for the fruit of their good efforts. He remarked that the results of this exam confirm the students’ great abilities and the momentum of their expertise gained during their academic journey at the University.

Al-Refai indicated that the University, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El-Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, pays utmost attention to all the competencies that a university graduate must be proficient in, starting with problem-solving skills and working as part of a team, to the skills of scientific research and interpretation, through the skills of information culture, critical thinking, organizational abilities, communication and sports therapy, knowledge of ethical rules and conduct, and other important competencies.

Al-Refai stated that PSUT has maintained, and even increased, the pace in its excellence in this exam, since it achieved first place among all Jordanian universities at the general level in 2005.

The Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research conducts this exam each semester to measure the general, medium and precise competencies expected to be mastered by undergraduate students who are expected to graduate from public and private universities.
