Princess Sumaya University for Technology has won second and fifth places in the Jordanian Universities Student Robot Competition, organized by the Jordanian Engineers Association and IEEE Jordan Branch, and held at the Dead Sea Conference Palace.
PSUT’s victory was gained by members of the Robotics and Automation Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs, who competed under the supervision of Dr. Aws Kanaan and Engineer Mahmoud Faris. Second place was held by the team of Hind Othman and Hamza Daoud, while fifth place went to Youssef Jarbou, Yasar Mandhouri, and Omar Tobasi.
The President of the University, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the winners and their supervisors, praising each victory that consolidates the PSUT’s status and supremacy in local and international forums. He highlighted the University’s keenness, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, to support students’ participation in all activities and competitions that serve to hone their academic and practical skills.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Salem, stated that the Deanship has a wide range of diverse student clubs, which provide a fertile environment for all students' activities and initiatives, and through which all forms of support and care is provided under the supervision of specialists.
