Biography:
Dr. Mamoon Altheeb did his undergraduate study at Yarmouk University, Jordan. In late 2003, he was awarded his Master of Scientific Studies from the University of Newcastle, Australia, in the field of Mathematics. In 2004, he was awarded a Special Student Scholarship from the University of Newcastle to complete his PhD studies, and in 2008 he was awarded his PhD in the field of "Operator Algebras". He worked as an assistant lecturer for about four years during his stay at the University of Newcastle. Shortly after he was awarded his PhD, he worked in Jordan for four years before moving on to working in Saudi Arabia and Qatar as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
Dr. Mamoon’s research interests are in modern analysis, and especially the representation of C*-dynamical systems by linear operators on Hilbert space. Moreover, he is interested also in Hecke Algebras and Graded rings and modules.
