Princess Sumaya University for Technology signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Jordanian-American Commission for Educational Exchange

Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Jordanian-American Commission for Educational Exchange have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aiming at participation in the Rawabit project of the U.S.-Jordanian University Cooperation Network (UCN) to promote academic and scientific exchange and foster bilateral partnerships between the United States and Jordan.

The agreement was officially signed by Professor Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of the university, and Edward Prados, Executive Director of the Jordanian-American Commission for Educational Exchange at the Fulbright Foundation/Jordan. Also present were Prof. Raed Musleh, Dean of King Abdullah I School of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ashraf Ahmed, Dean of King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, Engineer Mohammad Ammora, and Aya Shurafah, Program Officer at Rawabit project.

PSUT President Prof. Abu Elhaija emphasized that the university's participation in the Rawabit project, part of the U.S.-Jordanian University Cooperation Network, marks a step in their ongoing efforts to enhance education quality, and enabling faculty members to broaden their expertise and share knowledge across diverse research fields.

Mr. Prados welcomed the memorandum of understanding signing with Princess Sumaya University for Technology under the Rawabit university cooperation network. He emphasized the significance of cooperation between American and Jordanian universities, highlighting the benefits of travel grants, partnership development grants, and other Fulbright Program-funded initiatives in enhancing the academic and professional networks of faculty and staff. He also conveyed optimism for a future of joint cooperation.

 It is noteworthy that through the Rawabit project, the participating Jordanian and U.S. universities seek to improve their institutional capacity, internal funding, and risk management to undertake serious collaborative reforms guided by U.S. and global best practices in these areas.
