Princess Sumaya University for Technology students elect their student council for the academic year 2023/2024

Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, has announced the final results of the student council elections held on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Among 24 male and female students who ran for the student council elections, 20 were successfully elected to represent the university students at the level of academic disciplines for the academic year 2023/2024. These elected students will act as representatives of their peers and work to identify and address any issues or challenges they face.

The following students from King Hussein School of Computing Sciences won: Hamza Ahmed Abdelraheem, Mais Musa, Raghed Khatir, Noor Al-Haj Ali, Lafi Mohammad Odeh, Ahmed Bassam Awad, Mohammad Abu Aredeh, and Oweis Hatem Taha.

From King Abdullah II School of Engineering the following students won: Laith Abdeen, Celine Qarajeh, Yazan Al Jizawi, Najoud Waheed Saleh, and Mohammad Wael Al-Ma'ani.

As for King Talal School of Business Technology, the following students won: Mohammad Al-Abbasi, Raghad Abu Alnadi, Asaad Al-Deesi, Elisa Hindi, Yasmeen Shhaltough, Rahaf Al-Qassas, and Sara Al-Ismail.

During her inspection of the student council elections at PSUT, Prof. Abu Elhaija, the university president, expressed her delight at the students' high level of awareness and sense of responsibility in selecting a representative who embodies their aspirations, as well as the impressive turnout for the elections which reflects the students' eagerness for effective engagement and a democratic spirit.

Dr. Rami Salim, the Dean of Student Affairs, confirmed that the student council elections were conducted in accordance with organized procedures. Dr. Salem emphasized the important role of the council in serving as a bridge of communication between the university administration and students, as well as their contribution to the university's pursuit of excellence and development.

Dr. Rami Salim, explained that the official student council elections were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic procedures. As a result, the deans' council appointed a committee to select interim members for the university's student council for the academic year 2022-2023 until the official elections could be held.
