Health Information Technology (HIT) is a master program that involves information systems and communication to collect, store, retrieve, analyze, and manage information in the healthcare environment.  The program was established in response to the challenges of the accelerated demographic and epidemiological changes in the world and Jordan in particular.  The program aims to increase human resources efficiency in the Kingdom's health institutions, contribute to the application of health information technology systems, achieve a qualitative shift in applied research, apply critical thinking skills, and evaluate the best options available to support decision-makers in this area.  Health and education institutions, the Ministry of Health, and specialized trade unions supported the program establishment.
