Business Information Technology Department

The BIT Department was established in the academic year 2015/2016 because of the local and regional market need for competent graduates who can use information technology in business.

The Business Information Technology (BIT) Department was established in the academic year 2015/2016 in response to the local and regional market need for competent graduates who can use information technology in the business world. The Department offers two study programs; a bachelor’s program in Business Information Technology and a master’s program in Business Analytics.

In addition to a strong emphasis on excellence in teaching, the BIT Department is active in numerous research initiatives and other scholarly activities, such as working on funded grants, paper research, analytics capstone projects, participation in scientific conferences, and working with business organizations in various capacities.

The BIT faculty are professionals who conduct cutting-edge research to discover new knowledge and novel solutions to real-world challenges. The BIT faculty investigate various disciplines, including e-business, management information systems, data and process mining, data analytics, IT business strategy, artificial intelligence, and IT utilization in enterprises. Many department faculty members serve on editorial boards and consult for scientific and academic institutions, as well as business and nonprofit organizations. The BIT faculty is committed to helping students develop the information and skills they need to be effective IT administrators and leaders in today's ever-changing world.
