Overview of the Center

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC) was established in October 2016 and oversees the quality assurance procedures and accreditation compliance for Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT). In particular, QAAC assures the quality of the university's academic and administrative processes in accordance with the requirements of local and international quality assurance and accreditation frameworks.

Council of QAAC

The Council of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center provides the necessary supporting measures to contribute to the development of the University's quality and accreditation policies. It also serves the University's objectives by enhancing the cooperation between the academic schools, administrative units, and QAAC. The council members meet regularly to discuss the Center’s work and set forth the development strategies in terms of quality assurance and accreditation.

QAAC Responsibilities

QAAC is in charge of following up and processing the accreditation of all programs leading to academic degrees, applications of new programs, maintaining student capacity for existing programs, and ensuring the compliance of the University and all its academic programs to the general and specialized criteria set by the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission of Higher Education Institute (AQACHE). All undergraduate and graduate programs offered at PSUT are accredited by AQACHE.

Aligning qualifications with the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework workshop

In collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), a workshop was held to align qualifications with the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework. Attended by the Vice Dean of King Hussein School of Computing Science, the Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department and the Liaison Officer at the King Hussein School for Computer Sciences, the workshop emphasized the significance of the framework and provided a detailed explanation of its functioning. Participants showcased their commitment to ensuring educational programs at their schools align with national standards.
