History
In realization of the Royal Scientific Society’s role in the academic field of knowledge transfer, HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, oversaw the inception and founding of Princess Sumaya University for Technology. Read moreFrom the year 1991 to 1995
PSUT was established in 1991 under the name of Princess Sumaya University College for Technology. At that time, it awarded a single Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

In 2002, the university was granted the title of Princess Sumaya University for Technology by the Higher Educational Council at the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education.

In 2007, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research approved the university’s body of rules and regulations, and they became a model for private universities in Jordan. It also approved the establishment of the university’s Business School.

In 2012, two new programs were introduced: a Master’s in Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor’s in e-Marketing and Social Media.

In 2017, the MSc. program in Data Science was created, making PSUT the first Jordanian university to offer a major in this field.

In 2022, two new master's programs were introduced: one in Financial Technology and Accounting Analytics, and the other in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Technology.
