The El-Hassan Library at the Princess Sumaya University of Technology, in cooperation with the Middle East and North Africa Committee - the International Federation of Library and Information Institutions (IFLA), held two workshops, which were presented by the Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Committee at IFLA, Dr. Saif al-Jaberi, and the Library Director of the Oman Council, Mr. Walid al-Badi. The workshops aimed at introducing IFLA, its objectives, and the importance of participation in their activities, projects and events, and the benifits of membership. The first workshop, entitled "The role of library directors in measuring, evaluating and demonstrating the impact of library services," was attended by the directors of member libraries of the Center of Excellence for Library Services at Jordanian Private Universities. The second workshop, entitled "Measuring, evaluating and demonstrating the impact of library services," was attended by librarians working in the users services sections, at the University of Jordan, the Ministry of Education, the Abdelhamid Shoman Foundation, the Greater Amman Municipality, and the Princess Sumay University for Technology. At the end of the workshops, the trainers were honoured by Prof. Wejdan Abu-Elhaija the president of PSUT, in the presence of the Vice-President, Mr. Bassam Hammo. Trainee also were honored by the Vice-President, Mr. Bassam Hammo in presence of Dr. Saif Al-Jabri, and Mr. Walid Al-Badi.
