The Department of E-Marketing and Social Media at King Talal School of Business Technology hosted a Digital Marketing Day, attended by the School's Dean, Dr. George Sammour, along with representatives of international and local companies in the field, along with influential figures in marketing and social media. The event aimed to create job opportunities for students and faculty members in the department.
Head of the E-Marketing and Social Media Department, Dr. Mohammad Abu Hashish, outlined the department's key successes, including the launch of a Master’s program in E-Marketing and Social Media accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He also mentioned updates to study plans to meet market demands and equip graduates with competitive skills.
Dr. Abu Hashish emphasized the department’s high rate of student employment, nearing 100%, attributing it to ongoing improvements in study plans, practical training, and strong partnerships with local and international companies.
Additionally, Dr. Abu Hashish underscored the importance of turning labor market challenges into new job opportunities through research and innovation to foster development and innovation in both the Jordanian and global job markets.
The Digital Marketing Day brought together a range of partners and experts in digital marketing and social media, showcasing their expertise and experiences while providing valuable insights and answers to student queries. Among the notable companies participating were Mada, Careem, Ogilvy, Seagulls, and Arab Bank–Reflect, Kotler in Jordan. Additionally, several graduates from the department shared their success stories. The speakers commended this initiative for its role in integrating academia with the demands of the job market, recognizing its contribution to enhancing education and fostering skills essential for today's evolving job market needs.
