Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Jordan News Agency (Petra) have signed a cooperation program with the goal of enhancing their partnership, benefiting the community, and promoting public understanding of scientific and knowledge matters.
The agreement was officially signed by PSUT's President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, and Jordan News Agency General Director Fairouz Almubaideen, in the presence of officials from both sides.
Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted that this cooperation aligns with the university's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and social responsibility with governmental and media organizations. She emphasized the role of this partnership in enhancing public awareness of scientific and knowledge-related matters.
Abu Elhaija also highlighted that the university attaches special importance to addressing specialized scientific issues as part of its commitment to provide the local community with a culture of knowledge and accurate information, which contributes to tackling various societal challenges.
Almubaideen expressed her satisfaction in collaborating with Princess Sumaya University, acknowledging it as a prominent scientific institution on the national and international levels. She praised the university's track record of accomplishments and its pivotal role in advancing education in Jordan, as well as its ongoing commitment to progress and innovation.
Almubaideen also emphasized that Petra is dedicated to spotlighting Jordanian educational institutions in its news coverage, showcasing their accomplishments, and their contribution in supporting the process of comprehensive and sustainable development, as well as Jordan's achievements in education at all levels.
As part of the cooperation program, both parties have agreed to organize collaborative training programs, courses, and workshops in the scientific and media fields.
