Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) achieved first place worldwide in the 2025 Global English Language Olympiad for Universities, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with Masa International Testing Company.
The competition, which was held over two days, consisted of five main components: the Research Paper and Project, Community Service, the English Proficiency Test, Theatrical Performance, and Teamwork.
The PSUT team that won first place worldwide, Astra, included the following students: Lily Al-Allami, Rama Majdi, Talleen Jawabra, Maryam Jabri, and Majd Dawoudia.
In addition, PSUT’s team Altra secured second place worldwide in the Theatrical Performance Category. The team comprised Fares Abu Awad, Rital Nasrallah, Asaad Ghanma, Omar Salman, and Jouri Al-Masri. Both teams were trained and supervised by Lara Abu Ajamieh, Yasser Masleh, and theatre director Mousa Al-Sattari.
PSUT President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, congratulated the winning teams and their supervisors, emphasizing that excellence and distinction are the result of genuine investment in student talents. She highlighted the pivotal role of extracurricular activities in developing students’ leadership, intellectual, and artistic skills, strengthening their personalities, and enhancing their ability to compete and excel at both local and international levels.
She further noted that these achievements align with the vision and guidance of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of PSUT’s Board of Trustees, whose continuous support for excellence and innovation reflects her belief in the importance of building a generation capable of creativity, initiative, and leadership through active participation in extracurricular activities and international competitions, opening new horizons for leadership and global engagement.
