The President of the Jordan branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Dr. Ala’ Khalifeh, awarded honors to the student members of PSUT’s branch of the organization for being named the “Ideal Club” among Jordanian universities for the year 2022.
The honors came during the club's annual ceremony, which was attended by the Dean of PSUT’s King Abdullah II School of Engineering, Dr. Esam AlQaralleh, and the head of the Electrical Engineering Department, who is also the university’s IEEE branch supervisor, Dr. Fadi Al-Shahrouri.
PSUT’s President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the branch’s students and supervisor on receiving this honor, which reflects the bright image of PSUT students’ creativity as well as adding to the university’s record of achievements and excellence. Prof. Al-Refai affirmed that the university administration puts great focus on its students and encourages them during their academic career to get involved with a range of academic and extracurricular activities, which will help them to enter easily into the labor market.
Dr. Al-Shahrouri referred to the fertile IT environment that the university provides for its students to raise their competency in line with global information technology development. He also pointed out that the School makes every effort to ensure that its laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies for club members.
