Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center held a workshop entitled “quality is a continuous journey not a destination” on Thursday, March 7, 2024.The Quality officer from the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, engineer Bara' Qasrawi, explained many quality concepts with examples. She also explained the stages of quality and its application, in addition to many discussions with student quality ambassadors. Through this workshop, quality ambassadors were provided with the necessary knowledge to understand the importance of quality, its concepts and applications.
World Quality Day-Organizational Excellence
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a lecture on Organizational Excellence in celebration of World Quality Day on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The lecture was attended by several faculty members, students, Quality Ambassadors, and quality Liaison officers. lecture was delivered by His Excellency Dr. Khalif Al-Khawaldeh, former Minister of Public Sector Development. He spoke about the mechanism of achieving organizational excellence, explaining the importance of management through indicators, flexible systems, instructions, organizational structure, and the proper utilization of necessary resources to achieve sustainable organizational excellence.
Quality Ambassadors
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Affairs, held a meeting with the Quality Ambassadors among the nominated students as part of the Quality Ambassadors Initiative on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Dr. Hazem Qatous, the director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, inaugurated the meeting and welcomed the student Quality Ambassadors. He explained that the initiative aims to activate the role of students in spreading the culture of quality and continuous improvement by creating an informed and aware environment that supports and preserves continuous development.
Putting the qualification within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, in collaboration with the Higher Education Accreditation Commission , organized a workshop providing an introductory and detailed overview of the requirements for putting the qualification within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Zaid Al-Amber, Deputy Chairman of the higher Education Accreditation Commission The workshop, held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, included various discussions and questions regarding the implementation mechanism of accreditation for the programs offered by both colleges.
From Quality to Excellence
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a training workshop titled "From Quality to Excellence " on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 .Quality assurance and Accreditation Head of department, MS.Lubna Aljazi, explains the concept of quality and excellence with examples. MS.Lubna Aljazi, also explained the methodology needed to transfer from quality to excellent. in addition to a lot of discussion with quality assurance and accreditation liaison officers .Through this workshop, liaison officers were equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively understand the importance to transfer from quality to excellent.
Orientation and Development

The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Dr.Wijdan Abu Al-Haija, met with new faculty members in the orientation and Development program organized by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.The event was attended by 15 new faculty members.The program spanned three days and included a series of lectures and discussions on administrative affairs ,e-learning, student Affairs, administrative and Financial Department services, strategic plan, scientific research, postgraduate studies, registration system ,library services, Sustainability ,leadership, and digital transformation ,In addition, there were discussions with department heads and college deans.

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a training workshop titled "Quality tools and process development " on Thursday, August 17, 2023 .The Quality Officer, Eng. Bara' Qasrawi, explains quality tools in details and its uses in process development also she explained process developments techniques and its benefits for process enhancement through out the university explaining that process development is the responsibly of everyone .Through this workshop, liaison officers were equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively use quality tools and enhance process across the university.
Aligning qualifications with the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework workshop
In collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), a workshop was held to align qualifications with the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework in Thursday 16-3-2023. Attended by the Vice Dean of King Hussein School of Computing Science, the Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department and the Liaison Officer at the King Hussein School for Computer Sciences, The workshop facilitated a comprehensive understanding of the framework's structure and its role in promoting educational excellence and addressing societal needs.
Student Contribution to the Educational Process Workshop
Emphasizing the value of student engagement and their vital contribution to the educational process, Quality Officer Eng. Bara' Qasrawi, accompanied by a group of students from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, actively participated in a thought-provoking workshop on March 12, 2023. The workshop, organized in collaboration with the esteemed British Council and hosted by Al-Hussein Technical University, aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the significance of student involvement in shaping and enhancing the educational journey.
GAF Workshop
The Head of Quality and Accreditation Department actively participated in a month-long workshop organized by GAF from March 12, 2023, to April 12, 2023. This engaging workshop placed a strong emphasis on the significance of a comprehensive capacity-building program designed for graduating students. Participants were provided with a detailed overview of the development and delivery mechanisms of the program, with special attention given to cultivating essential teamwork skills, fostering cooperative communication, and enhancing presentation abilities.

In pursuit of fostering a culture of quality and embracing sustainability within the university, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center orchestrated an insightful workshop. On Monday, February 27, 2023, Dr. Ola El Hadid delivered a comprehensive presentation on sustainability. Dr. El Hadid delved into the fundamental principles and significance of sustainability, highlighting the university's commitment to this cause. Engaging stakeholders and actively pursuing energy conservation measures were among the key aspects discussed, alongside the promotion of alternative energy sources.
ABET Accreditation Workshop
In line with its mission to cultivate a culture of quality, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center took the initiative to organize a workshop focused on ABET accreditation. This workshop, held on Thursday, February 16th, 2023, exclusively catered to Quality Liaison Officers at the university and was skillfully presented by Ms. Nadaa Al Thaher from King Abdullah II School of Engineering. Ms. Al Thaher shared invaluable insights from the School of Engineering's own experience with ABET accreditation, offering a firsthand account of the process.
EFQM Foundation
Eng. Bara' Qasrawi, PSUT's Quality Officer, actively took part in the EFQM Foundation training facilitated by EFQM on Thursday, February 9, 2023. The comprehensive course delved into the standards and model of EFQM, including the intricacies of the renowned RADAR approach. The training emphasized the significance of global quality systems across diverse organizations, drawing the participation of professionals from various regions worldwide. Engaging interactive discussions were conducted, fostering valuable exchanges on the opportunities and challenges entailed in implementing global quality systems.

International Quality Day
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a meeting with Dr. Wael Al-Atiwi, Head of the Business Information Technology Department and assessor of the prestigious King Abdullah II Award for Excellence. This productive meeting, held on Nov. 10, 2022, provided a platform for Dr. Al-Atiwi to share his invaluable experience in the evaluation process of the King Abdullah II Award for government organizations, the private sector, and public universities. With great clarity, he elucidated the evaluation criteria specific to public universities and their practical application.

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a training workshop titled "Internal Audit for the Center's Liaison Officers" on Sunday, November 9, 2022. Rankings Award 2023
Princess Sumaya University for Technology achieved a remarkable milestone by being honored with an award during the prestigious QS Arab Region University Ranking ceremony held in Dubai on 18-10-2022. The university received an outstanding recognition, securing the impressive third position within the local ranking and an impressive 42nd position among universities across the Arab world. The course, held on 29-6-2022, was conducted in collaboration with the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission of Higher Education Institutions. With a primary objective to cultivate and enhance participants' capacities and skills, the course served as a catalyst for instilling a pervasive culture of excellence and innovation.
EFQM Certified Assessor Training
Mrs. Lubna Al-Jazi, the Head of the Quality and Accreditation Department, achieved a remarkable feat by acquiring a prestigious certificate as an accredited assessor based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This outstanding accomplishment was attained through a rigorous three-day course facilitated by King Abdullah II Center for Excellence, conducted from 26-28/6/2022. Participants actively engaged in practical exercises such as the application of the "RADAR" technique, scoring methodologies, and on-site visitations to solidify their understanding and implementation skills.

QAAC organized a training workshop on "Document Control" for it’s Liaison Officers. The workshop took place on Thursday, June 16th, 2022, and aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills in effectively managing and controlling documents within the university. The workshop delved into the various types and specifications of documents, emphasizing the key factors to consider when preparing them. Participants gained insights into the procedures involved in issuing, modifying, and canceling documents, along with the necessary application processes and document dissemination methods.
