QAAC Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC) plays a vital role in overseeing and facilitating the accreditation process and quality assurance for all academic degree programs, new program applications, student capacity maintenance, and ensuring compliance with the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission of Higher Education Institutes (AQACHEI) criteria. At PSUT, all undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AQACHEI. Furthermore, QAAC extends its support to PSUT's Schools in pursuing and maintaining international accreditations and quality assurance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities of QAAC include:

  • Developing and maintaining the university's quality and accreditation manual. This involves supervising the creation and documentation of procedures manuals, ensuring their distribution throughout the university, and monitoring updates and improvements.
  • Assisting in the management and supervision of quality assurance committees and relevant work teams within the Schools and departments.
  • Promoting the implementation of local and international accreditation standards. QAAC facilitates coordination with academic departments and administrative units to ensure compliance with both general and specific accreditation criteria.
  • Monitoring all matters pertaining to general and specific accreditation between the university and the Jordanian AQACHEI.
  • Establishing effective mechanisms for managing and measuring institutional and operational performance. QAAC assists in deploying these mechanisms and ensures continuous improvement across all aspects of the university's work and operations to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Arranging and facilitating visits from external audit teams, in collaboration with relevant university departments, the Jordanian AQACHEI, and other internal and external evaluation and accreditation bodies.
  • Providing comprehensive reports, statistics, and necessary databases to decision-makers.
  • Collaborating with local and international partner organizations to exchange experiences and knowledge in the development of quality and accreditation systems.
  • Through these responsibilities, QAAC demonstrates its commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of education and academic programs at PSUT, both locally and internationally.
