Scholarships for Graduate Students at Princess Sumaya University for Technology

Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) offers a number of scholarships for outstanding graduate students, aiming to support their academic and research journey and to encourage excellence and innovation across various scientific fields.

1- Graduate Assistantship Scholarship:

The Graduate Assistantship provides students with an opportunity to work within the academic department in exchange for full or partial tuition coverage, along with a monthly stipend. The assistantship is awarded on a semester basis and may be renewed based on the university’s needs and the student’s fulfillment of renewal requirements, for a maximum of four semesters for master’s students.

- Eligibility Requirements:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree.

  • The applicant’s academic standing must be at least Very Good (or equivalent).

  • The applicant must meet the English language proficiency requirements as outlined in the following link: https://psut.edu.jo/en/english-language-proficiency-requirements?revision=1

  • The applicant must not be employed or receiving a scholarship or financial sponsorship from any external entity, with the exception of partial scholarships awarded through the University and funded by external organizations.

  • The student must be a full-time student and maintain regular enrollment in the program.

- Types of Scholarships:

1. Full Scholarship

  • The scholarship provides full coverage of credited tuition fees at 100% in addition to the semester registration fees.
  • The student receives a monthly stipend of 250 JOD.
  • The minimum required cumulative GPA is 85%.
  • The permitted academic load ranges from 6 to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • The student is required to fulfill 20 hours per week of research and teaching assistant duties.

2. Partial Scholarship

  • The scholarship provides partial coverage of credited tuition fees at 50% in addition to the semester registration fees.
  • The student receives a monthly stipend of 200 JOD.
  • The minimum required cumulative GPA is 80%.
  • The permitted academic load ranges from 6 to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • The student is required to fulfill 10 hours per week of research and teaching assistant duties.

- Continuation Requirements

  • The student’s cumulative GPA must be at least 85% for the full scholarship and 80% for the partial scholarship.
  • The student must complete the required number of hours assigned as part of their scholarship duties each semester.
  • The student must not receive any disciplinary action during the semester.
