Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, inaugurated the activities of the 21st Career Day, which is annually organized by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration. The event aims to strengthen communication between students and graduates and labor market institutions, and to showcase the academic competencies and practical skills acquired by PSUT students in line with their academic fields and the evolving needs of the labor market.
The Career Day witnessed wide participation from 50 leading companies across the sectors of computer science, business technology, and engineering. It also included specialists in professional skills development, who delivered training workshops on preparing professional CVs and strategies for job interview readiness.
Prof. Abu Elhaija toured the exhibition accompanied by the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Osamah Bdarneh, and the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Muhanna Muhanna, along with the deans of PSUT. They reviewed the participating companies and observed the positive level of interaction between students and institutional representatives.
The exhibition attracted a remarkable attendance of over one thousand students and graduates, reaffirming the importance of such events as an effective platform that connects academic outcomes with labor market needs, while providing students with the opportunity to gain deeper insight into required skills and explore employment and training opportunities in major institutions.
It is worth noting that PSUT continues, through such initiatives, to strengthen its partnerships with both the public and private sectors, contributing to the provision of an integrated training environment that supports students’ readiness to enter the labor market. It also helps prepare qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with economic and social development requirements, bridging academic knowledge with practical application.
