Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, inaugurated the sixth annual exhibition of distinguished graduation projects as part of the Career Guidance Week activities. The exhibition was organized by the Gifted Students Care Office, the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, in collaboration with the university schools, with the goal of encouraging graduate students towards pioneering and creativity.
Prof. AbuElhaija, accompanied by the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Bassam Hammo, and members of the Deans' council, reviewed the graduation projects and engaged with the students to learn about the ideas and methods they employed in preparing their projects.
A total of 23 projects from different academic schools were presented in the exhibition. These projects were selected by a specialized arbitration committee comprising Mr. Mohammad Obeidat, the Director of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at PSUT, Romooz Sadiq, the Director of the My Mirror project, and Tuqa Gharaibeh, from the Royal Scientific Society's Business Incubator.
Dr. Abdul Ghafour Al-Saidi, the Dean of Admission and Registration, has emphasized the university's commitment to exhibiting graduation projects, which provides a real-world simulation of practical experiences for students and provide them with an opportunity to enter the fields of innovation and scientific research. He also stated that these projects are non-traditional and directly address labor market challenges, and seek to provide technical solutions for them.
Dr. Al-Saidi emphasized that the exhibition provides a platform to showcase the skills and innovation of our students, with the potential to leverage these qualities by presenting their projects to specialized enterprises. This can result achieving success stories and pioneering achievements, not only in Jordan but also on a global scale.
It is noteworthy that the Career Guidance Office at the Admissions and Registration Deanship annually arranges the activities of this week to facilitate direct communication between students, university graduates, and both the public and private sectors. These activities include showcasing exceptional graduation projects, conducting workshops on setting up companies, and the fundamentals of addressing the requirements of the job market.
