Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, a member of the Independent Election Commission, emphasized the importance of youth participation in political life in response to the vision of the Jordanian state and in support of the process of political modernization in the second centenary of Jordan. These are the true visions that the Independent Election Commission is working hard on with the Crown Prince Foundation, the official and exclusive partner of the ‘I Participate’ program.
Al-Adwan’s statement came during his patronage of the graduation ceremony for the 30 students participating in the ‘I Participate’ program, in the presence of the Vice President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Dr. Bassam Hammo, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University, Dr. Rami Salem, and the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Programs and Performance Excellence in the Crown Prince Foundation, Ms. Nujud Al-Sarhan, the director of the American Partnership Project, Mr. Aws Qutaishat, and the regional director of the program, Mr. Muhammad Al-Suqur.
In her speech, Ms. Al-Sarhan called on the youth to contribute to the process of political modernization, and to follow a steady pace that can help them achieve the country’s goals. The ceremony also included an explanatory video about the program at the university, and students’ success stories in the program.
Dr. Rami Salem expressed his pride in the program, which he started seven years ago at PSUT and still has a great student turnout. Dr. Salem pointed out that the first step to success stems from absolute faith in the idea. He added that the students’ increasing turnout every year and their involvement in the program proves how successful it is.
Graduates received certificates of participation at the end of the ceremony.
