President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Chen Chuandong, during his visit to the university. The ambassador was accompanied by a Chinese delegation, and the meeting was attended by Vice President Prof. Bassam Hammo and members of the university's council of deans.
In the meeting, the two parties discussed enhancing academic and research cooperation in information technology, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and related fields.
Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted the university's achievements in academics, research, and students' extracurricular activities, emphasizing the university's commitment to international collaboration to contribute to the development of innovation and business technology sectors.
Abu Elhaija also stressed the importance of strengthening academic ties between local and international universities, aligning with the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan to enhance education and foster global academic integration.
Chinese Ambassador Chuandong acknowledged the strong Jordanian-Chinese relationship and Jordan's crucial role in various fields. He discussed ways to further this cooperation through academic and research exchanges.
The visiting delegation praised HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan for her ongoing support of the university and recognized the efforts of Princess Sumaya University for Technology in advancing education and research. They noted the university's innovative approach to integrating technology across various fields.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation was briefed on projects prepared by university students and their supervisors in computer science, engineering, and business technology.
