Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, announced the launch of the Executive MBA program, the first of its kind in Jordan, at the Future CFO Roadshow 2024 workshop. The event was organized by King Talal School of Business Technology in cooperation with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). The workshop was attended by executives, financial officers, accountants, administrators from Jordanian companies and banks, faculty members, and students from various Jordanian and international universities.
Ahmad Mkhallati, chair of the IMA Regional Advisory Committee for the Middle East, India, and Africa, presented Prof. Abu Elhaija with the IMA Endorsement for the accounting program and announced Princess Sumaya University for Technology as a strategic partner of the Institute.
Prof. Abu Elhaija expressed her pride in the distinguished and unique successes achieved by King Talal School of Business Technology, which has excelled in various specializations due to the support and guidance of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. As a result, the school has emerged as a global institution, offering high-level education in business technology that meets international standards.
Prof. Abu Elhaija also commended the close collaboration between the labor market and the academic sector, which has contributed to aligning the university's programs and study plans with the demands of the job market. This shift from traditional education to practical education aims to equip students with both practical experience and scientific competencies, preparing them to excel in global markets.
Dr. George Sammour, Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, highlighted the importance of creating an inspiring learning environment. He also highlighted the role of faculty and staff in developing students' skills to meet the challenges of a changing job market. Furthermore, Dr. Sammour emphasized the importance of innovation and keeping pace with global business technology trends by offering cutting-edge programs that equip graduates with the latest tools and knowledge.
The Future CFO Roadshow 2024 workshop focused on boosting knowledge, innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills. Local, regional, and international experiences from the United Arab Emirates and the United States were shared. The workshop covered topics like financial technology's role in Jordan's financial sector, achieving excellence for financial managers, and modern risk management strategies for financial leaders.
