Princess Sumaya University for Technology commemorated the Isra and Miraj anniversary (Prophet Muhammed’s midnight journey to Jerusalem and his ascension to heaven), which was organized by the Office of Cultural Activities in the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with ‘If He Had been between us’ Initiative and Noon Cultural Club at the university.
During the ceremony, which was attended by a representative of the Jordanian Engineers syndicate, Eng. Sahar Qudah, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University, Dr. Rami Salem, announced the launch of the 6th ‘Let's Light Its Steadfastness Lanterns’ campaign to restore the houses of the Old City in occupied Jerusalem.
Dr. Salem pointed out that the announcement of the campaign during the commemoration of this anniversary emphasize the national and human sense of PSUT students, their support to their brothers in Jerusalem, enhancing their steadfastness, and considering it a national and humanitarian duty towards Jerusalem and the holy places.
The ceremony included a lecture on Isra’ and Mi’raj, a competition, religious chants, in addition to a presentation of the campaign’s achievements during the past year 2022.
