President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, met with an academic delegation from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, headed by Dr. Guido Quetsch, Executive Director of the Master’s Program in European Studies, to discuss ways of enhancing academic cooperation. The meeting focused on the provision of 10 scholarships for students enrolled in PSUT’s joint European Studies program, enabling them to pursue a master’s degree within the same program.
During the meeting, Prof. Abu Elhaija emphasized that this partnership represents a pioneering international model of academic collaboration, contributing to the development of students’ scientific and practical expertise in line with the latest global standards. She expressed her openness to expanding cooperation between the two universities across various disciplines. Prof. Abu Elhaija added that this partnership aligns with the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the PSUT Board of Trustees, to strengthen the university’s position as a world-class academic institution that keeps pace with technological advancements in diverse fields and produces highly qualified graduates equipped with advanced knowledge and practical skills.
For his part, Dr. Quetsch and the visiting delegation praised the high academic caliber of PSUT students and the university’s efforts in building bridges of cooperation with international academic institutions. He noted that this partnership provides real opportunities for students at both the academic and intellectual levels, keeping them aligned with the rapid pace of global knowledge development. He also expressed his eagerness for further collaboration in additional joint and interdisciplinary fields between the two universities.
The meeting was attended by PSUT Vice President Prof. Osama Badarneh; Dean of the King Abdullah I School of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof.Amjed Al-Mousa; Director of the External Relations Office, Dr. Sufyan Almajali; and Director of the European Studies Master’s Program, Mr. Yazan Khrais. The visiting delegation included Dr. Jörg Waldmann, Dr. Witold Mucha, and Dr. Frédéric Krummbein.
Additionally, the delegation met with students enrolled in the European Studies Master’s Program to discuss the academic and practical aspects of the program and explore ways to enhance this educational experience, supporting students in fulfilling the requirements to obtain their scholarships in Germany.
