The Accounting Department at King Talal School of Business Technology has received accreditation from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA Endorsement Program). This accreditation is designed to empower professionals in the fields of finance and management accounting.
Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, the University President, expressed pride in the latest achievement, adding to the distinguished accreditations of King Talal School of Business Technology. This includes the AACSB accreditation in 2020, ACCA accreditation, and the Department of E-Marketing and Social Media earning accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in 2022. These accomplishments align with HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees, vision to elevate the university's global standing through international academic and professional accreditations.
Abu Elhaija highlighted that this accreditation aligns with the university's objectives, delivering high-quality academic programs that address current labor market demands and enhance the competitiveness of its graduates.
Dr. George Sammour, the Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, highlighted that the accreditation from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA Endorsement Program) underscores the alignment between the Accounting Program's curriculum and the high standards of this accreditation. This ensures that students and alumni of the Accounting Department are well-prepared for success in the globally recognized Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examination, making them highly qualified for job opportunities both in Jordan and internationally. Notably, Princess Sumaya University for Technology is among the few universities in the Middle East to achieve this prestigious accreditation.
It's noteworthy that the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), established in 1919, comprises over 140,000 members in 150 countries with 350 local branches for professionals and students, headquartered in New Jersey, USA.
