The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, under the patronage of university president Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, organized the 2024 "What Do You Want to Major In" event. The aim was to introduce high school students and their families to the university's various programs and requirements.
University president Prof. Abu Elhaija, vice president Prof. Bassam Hammo, Dean of Admissions and Registration Dr. Muhanna Muhanna, members of the university's Council of Deans, and heads of academic departments met with prospective students and their families. They listened to why students chose PSUT and the majors they are interested in.
Dr. Muhanna stated that the event is held annually to enhance communication with the community and provide guidance to help students make informed decisions about their academic future. He highlighted that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration plays a crucial role in the student's academic journey, which begins before joining the university, continues through their time at the university, and extends until they obtain prestigious jobs or establish their own businesses, along with continued engagement with the university. Information about career opportunities and the benefits of studying in high-demand fields was also provided, along with introductions to student offices, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
It is worth noting that the 2024 event attracted a large number of high school students and their parents. University students shared their experiences in choosing modern specializations, and videos made by students of the Department of Computer Graphics and Animation were showcased.
