Students of the King Abdullah II School of Engineering at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) won the first and third places in the graduation projects competition for the year 2022 of the Jordanian Engineers Syndicate, in the field of electrical engineering among all Jordanian universities. The competition aims at motivating university students to advance their creative ideas through graduation projects that simulate world development in engineering sciences.
‘Designing an Internet of Things System for Data Storage’ won first place. The project was designed by Tareq Saad El-Din, Lama Uday, Mohmmad Huwaidi, and Amjad Shqaidef and supervised by Prof. Abdullah Al-Zoubi. The third place was awarded to ‘A System for Monitoring and Diagnosing a Patient's Condition Remotely Using the Internet of Things’ by Aya Abu Al-Nasr, Dana Tannous, Rama Al-Khatib) and supervised by Eng. Muhammad Taha.
PSUT President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, congratulated the winning teams and their supervisors for this achievement. Confirming the university's superiority and leadership, the president emphasized supporting students' participation in all activities and competitions that develop their academic and practical skills and open up new horizons.
The Dean of the King Abdullah II School of Engineering, Dr. Essam Qarrala, confirmed that the university's mission is not limited to delivering information and data to students, but rather extends to paying attention to their creative ideas and motivating them to keep pace with the skills required in the evolving engineering labor market.
