In the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Bassam Hammo, and a number of PSUT deans and professors, as well as some students’ families, PSUT president Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija honored the students in the national, regional and international competitions and their supervisors, during a ceremony organized by the Office for Gifted Students/ Deanship of Admission and Registration.
Abu Elhaija said that this honor is an appreciation for the achievements of students and their supervisors, and their distinction at all levels and in various academic fields and extracurricular activities. She emphasized that with their pioneering achievements and the professional results they achieve, students become ambassadors of the university and the country and this, in fact, is a real reflection of a typical university environment.
To enable them to participate in the decision-making process, Abu Elhaija also announced the involvement of outstanding students in the university's 2030 strategy by taking their opinions and suggestions into account.
Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Abdel Ghafour Al-Saidi, pointed out that this ceremony, which is held periodically, is a motivation for students to continue the path of excellence and achievement while they are still students preparing themselves to the labor market.
