The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, inaugurated the annual health day, “Your Health Matters” in its fourth edition, organized by the Social Guidance Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs with the primary objective of promoting students' healthy lifestyles.
The inauguration of the health day activities was attended by Prof. Bassam Hammo, the University Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Rami Salim, the Dean of Student Affairs, the deans of various schools, Major Rania Abu Salim from the Central Amman Civil Defense Directorate, representatives from participating health authorities, as well as university professors, staff, and students.
The events, featuring the participation of 22 medical, health, nutritional, and sports entities, encompassed various activities such as medical examinations, guidance from nutrition and beauty experts, fitness centers, interactions with doctors from the Specialty Hospital, and first aid training.
Dr. Rami Salim, the Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized the Deanship's goal of organizing regular “health day” events. He stressed the importance of motivating students to adopt effective health practices and highlighted the significance of establishing ongoing and active communication channels with the local community and its institutions.
Dr. Rami Salim highlighted the importance of diverse participation in enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange between the university and medical sectors. He also praised the students' interaction and their strong desire to acquire knowledge and skills that serve their endeavors towards a better life.
