Electronic Health Solutions International (EHSI), led by CEO and founder Ghassan Al-Lahham, a 1998/1999 Computer Science graduate of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, launched the National Health Insurance Claims System (Hakeem Claim) during a visit by His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to the company at King Hussein Business Park.

The Hakeem program, a key national strategic project, aims to streamline healthcare by using an IT platform to serve health insurance stakeholders, reducing bureaucratic procedures in private healthcare institutions and saving time and effort for both patients and providers.

The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, stated that the university, guided by HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, continues to play a pivotal role in supporting various community sectors through its outstanding graduates. She emphasized the university's contribution to fostering innovation and supporting sustainable development in key areas such as health, technology, and education, leaving a positive impact. Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted the university's commitment to offering academic programs aligned with labor market needs, strengthening its role as a leading academic institution that contributes to both local and international communities.

Prof. Abu Elhaija expressed great pride in the achievements of Princess Sumaya University for Technology's graduates and students, who continue to excel in various fields. She praised their dedication to skill development and their active role in advancing society, noting that their successes reflect the university's vision of preparing creative leaders capable of facing challenges and building a better future.

Notably, Al-Lahham began his career while still a university student, with his first job at Bella Group. After graduating, he founded Menhaj Educational Technologies, the first company focused on automating public education. Driven by his belief in the importance of integrating technology into education, the company won the King Abdullah II Award for Creativity in 2004.

In 2009, Al-Lahham started the implementation of the Hakeem program to enhance the health sector and improve services for Jordanian citizens, marking a new effort to apply information technology in healthcare.

The key feature of Hakeem is its direct impact on the patient experience, improving it from a difficult process to a high-quality service that reduces suffering and saves lives by providing health service providers with essential information.
