Princess Sumaya University for Technology and SEDCO are developing a project to enhance the expected waiting time quality in medical facilities using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies

As part of the collaboration between Princess Sumaya University for Technology and the industry sector, Prof. Essam Al-Qaraleh, the Dean of King Abdullah II School of Engineering, held a meeting with Eng. Hazem Al-Aseer, the Regional Director of SEDCO.

Prof. Al-Qaraleh emphasized that this meeting marks a continuation of a successful project undertaken by a group of students from King Abdullah II School of Engineering. The project utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance the anticipated waiting time quality in medical facilities, resulting in a noteworthy enhancement in accuracy compared to conventional solutions.

Prof. Al-Qaraleh expressed his optimism that this project will serve as a foundation for a promising future cooperation between the two entities. He emphasized that this joint effort showcases the university's and the company's dedication to fostering robust partnerships that contribute to economic and technological growth in the region. Prof. Al-Qaraleh also hoped that this cooperation would positively impact students and society at large.

Engineer Al-Asser expressed his profound appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with PSUT, this esteemed educational institution on both local and international fronts. He emphasized that this partnership, focused on offering technical solutions for institutions to transition into smart digital branches, will yield an exceptional and pioneering product for the industrial sector

At the meeting's conclusion, Engineer Al-Aseer honored the project team, which consisted of students Hamza Zubaidi, Mohammad Dweik, and the project supervisor, Dr. Amjad Al-Mousa.

These solutions include a mobile application for appointment booking, a queue management system, and self-service devices connecting branches with multiple digital channels.
