Prof. Ayman Faza

Dr. Ayman Faza is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. He received his PhD and MS in Computer Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, USA, in 2010 and 2007, respectively. His PhD research area was in reliability modeling of cyber-physical systems, with a focus on smart grid reliability. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan in 2003. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he specialized in audio signal processing. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at La Spezia University in Rome, focusing on wireless networking technologies for implementing smart power grids. His current research interests are modeling and operation of electric power systems, smart grids, renewable energy systems, stability and reliability modeling. Dr. Faza is a senior member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering), a member of The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), a Fulbright Foreign Student Program Fellow, and an Erasmus Mundus Postdoctoral Fellow.
