Mohammad J. Abdel-Rahman received a Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Dept. at the University of Arizona in Nov. 2014 with the College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Award. He was with the ECE Dept. at Virginia Tech as a Research Faculty Member from Jan. 2015 to Sep. 2017. In Oct. 2017, he joined Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) as a Faculty Member of the School of Engineering Technology (Oct. 2017 – Sep. 2022), a Faculty Member of the School of Computing and Informatics (Sep. 2018 – Sep. 2022), the Founding Chair of the Electrical Engineering Dept. (Oct. 2018 – Mar. 2022), and the Director of the Wireless Networks & Security Research Lab (Apr. 2019 – now). He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the ECE Dept. at Virginia Tech since Jan. 2018. Since Oct. 2022, he has been on leave from HTU to PSUT. His research interests include wireless networks, smart grids, unmanned aerial vehicles, intelligent reflecting surfaces, stochastic optimization, game theory, and machine learning.
