Mohammad J. Abdel-Rahman received the Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Dept. at the University of Arizona in November 2014. He was with the ECE Dept. at Virginia Tech as a Research Faculty Member from January 2015 to September 2017. In October 2017, he joined Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), and since May 2019 he has been an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering and the Computer Science (joint appointment) Depts. He was the Founding Chair of the Electrical Engineering Dept. at HTU from October 2018 to March 2022, and has been the Director of the Wireless Networks & Security Research Laboratory at HTU since April 2019. He has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the ECE Dept. at Virginia Tech since January 2018. Since October 2022, he has been on leave from HTU to PSUT. His research interests include wireless communications and networking, smart grids, stochastic optimization, game theory, and machine learning.
