Mohammad Al-Jafari, a student from King Abdullah II School of Engineering at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, won the gold medal as part of the Jordanian national team's participation in the second round of the World Karate League Championship, held in Rabat, Morocco.
Mohammad Al-Jafari won the gold medal in the under 84 kg weight category final against the Italian player, Matthew Flower, with a score of 4/3.
Dr. Rami Salim, the Dean of Student Affairs, expressed his pride in the accomplishment of university students in excelling not only academically but also in extracurricular activities. He also emphasized the university administration's dedication to supporting students and providing them with opportunities to engage in both local and international tournaments.
It is worth mentioning that student Al-Jafari won the bronze medal in the under 84 kg weight category at the World Junior and U21 Championships held in Konya, Turkey.
