Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) has renewed its cooperation agreement with Cairo Amman Bank (CAB) to convert the university ID into a multi-purpose smart card.
The agreement was signed by PSUT President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, and CAB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kamal Al-Bakri, in the presence of several senior officials from both institutions.
The smart card serves as an official university ID for PSUT students, enabling its holders to access a range of advanced financial and electronic services. These include cash withdrawals, point-of-sale payments, and online purchases. The card also functions as an access key to various university facilities and can be used to pay tuition fees. Additionally, cardholders benefit from exclusive discounts and special offers across an extensive network of commercial outlets.
Prof. Abu Elhaija emphasized that this collaboration positively supports the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of services offered to its students, faculty, and administrative staff. She noted that the partnership aligns with PSUT’s strategy and the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, to strengthen cooperation with local institutions and exchange expertise in ways that improve and develop services on both sides.
For his part, Dr. Al-Bakri praised the outstanding academic level of PSUT students and the university’s distinguished reputation both locally and internationally. He added that this renewed partnership reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to providing smart banking solutions that simplify students’ lives and keep pace with technological advancements.
It is worth noting that the multi-purpose smart university card marks an important step toward empowering students to benefit from modern and secure banking services that enrich their university experience and enhance their financial technology skills.
