In a meeting held via visual communication technology, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology honored the winning students of the Fourth Graduation Project Competition, which was organized by the Talented Students Office at the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, in coordination with the deanships of the University's Schools. PSUT’s two vice-presidents, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija and Prof. Mohammad Sababha, were also present at the meeting.
The competition, which was judged by a committee of experts from the Royal Scientific Society’s Business Incubator (iPARK) and the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship, saw the participation of more than 60 outstanding projects from various disciplines. The winning students were Islam Ali Mohammad Zaytoun, Mohammad Hosni Shehadeh Al-Qudah, Mohammad Kefah Adeeb Al-Hafiz, Tariq Abdullah Khalil Al-Madhoun, Saif Al-Din Ali Saif Al-Din Faroun, and Loay Mustafa AlBarmawi.
Prof. Al-Refai praised the efforts and success of the winners, and thanked the RSS Business Incubator, the QRCE, and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration for establishing the competition as a unique PSUT tradition. He went on to explain that the graduation project forms a bridge for the student to cross to the knowledge gained by practical application, and a useful exercise to bring their capabilities in line with the demands of the labor market, which serves to realize PSUT's vision of a smart global university in both the academic and research fields.
Al-Refai added that the University, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, gives its full support to everything that could help its students to succeed in their careers, and seeks to equip them with all the necessary skills they need to keep abreast of the continuous changes in the labor markets.
In turn, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Al-Saidi, said that PSUT considers the graduation project to be of great importance, as it is the first experience that simulates the student’s professional life, and constitutes an opportunity for them to enter the world of innovation and scientific research.
