Prof. Amer Al Badarneh

Professor

Prof. Amer Al-Badarneh received his B.Sc. in Computer Science (with honors) from Yarmouk University, Jordan in June 1987 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Wayne State University, USA in May 2000. In June 2000, he joined Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Assistant Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology (September 2002 - August 2003), and Founding Head of the Computer Information Systems Department (September 2003 - August 2005). Since Oct. 2022, he has been on leave from JUST to PSUT as a faculty member in the Data Science Department. His research interests are in the areas of big data management and analytics, data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, and spatial data indexing. He has coauthored several research articles in refereed conferences and journals.
